Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa To Take Part in Annual PINKTOBER® Campaign Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness and Research

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa To Take Part in Annual PINKTOBER® Campaign Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness and Research

2019 Campaign Will Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Research

Through the Hard Rock Heals Foundation®

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa has started its annual month-long support of PINKTOBER — the property’s breast cancer awareness campaign.

This is the 12th year of Seminole Hard Rock Tampa’s involvement with PINKTOBER. Last year, the property raised $92,000 to help fund research for prevention and a cure for breast cancer, while supporting the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk as the $50,000 Pink Premier Sponsor.

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will once again be the Pink Premier Sponsor for this year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, scheduled for Saturday, October 19, at Raymond James Stadium beginning at 9 a.m. Like previous years, the property will enter a team for the walk. Last year, the Rockin’ Walkstars were the number one fundraising team in the state. For details about the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, please visit www.makingstrideswalk.org.

Throughout the month of October, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will be participating in the campaign through fundraising efforts supporting the Hard Rock Heals Foundation®, the charitable arm of Hard Rock®.

“Seminole Hard Rock Tampa is honored once again to support the American Cancer Society during PINKTOBER,” said President Steve Bonner. “We are privileged to offer guests the opportunity to join in and support this cause to spread a message of strength, hope and awareness for those affected by this disease.”

Pink is the Color for Fall

The property’s Rock Shop® and the brand’s online retail site will help guests show their pink pride with exclusive PINKTOBER merchandise including limited-edition pins, t-shirts, bracelets, keychains, hats and more. The exclusive items will display “BRAVE” written on the front with a pink ribbon accompanied by the Hard Rock PINKTOBER logo. Proceeds from the PINKTOBER collection will be donated to the Hard Rock Heals Foundation in support of breast cancer awareness causes around the globe. Those looking to shop for PINKTOBER merchandise can visit the Rock Shop® or go online at https://shop.hardrock.com.

Additionally, the property will be selling custom co-branded recyclable totes and koozies in its retail stores with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the cause.

Participate in PINKTOBER

Guests wanting to show their support and participate in the pink party can visit Seminole Hard Rock Tampa and take part in fundraising activations benefiting the American Cancer Society, October 1 through October 29.

The Pinktober Poker Open will be taking place from October 9 to October 20 with a portion of the buy-ins going to the ACS.

Finally, Hard Rock Cafe will host “Hard Rock Rock ‘n’ Roll Trivia” on Tuesday, October 22, at 7 p.m. to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. It’s open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There’s a $10 entry fee per person and Hard Rock will match the dollar amount raised from entry fees and donate it to the American Cancer Society. All entry fees make up the prize pool – 1st place receives 50 percent of the prize pool, while 2nd place receives 30 percent of the prize pool and 3rd place 20 percent of the prize pool.

The Flavors of Pink

Indulge in a caramel apple at Constant Grind or with a glass of Broken Earth Sparkling Rosé at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the cause.

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa’s Hard Rock Cafe will also feature a limited-time cocktail called “Drink Pink Punch” to generate awareness for breast cancer. The delicious “Drink Pink Punch” cocktail includes Beefeater Pink Gin, the tropical flavors of guava, banana, pineapple and strawberries finished with a house-made guava foam and rainbow candies.

Message of Strength

More than 1,000 Seminole Hard Rock Tampa team members have donated one percent of their pay for the month of October to benefit the American Cancer Society. Those same team members will be able to partake in “Wear Pink Wednesdays” and wear the provided “Rockin’ Walkstars” shirt to work.
