TAMPA, Fla. (October 30, 2015) – Following a charity slot tournament and a concert Thursday night in Hard Rock Cafe, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa donated $47,243 to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (American Cancer Society).

The money raised included month-long sales of limited edition Making Strides pink sunglasses, proceeds from 2015 Seminole Hard Rock Girls Calendar sales, paycheck donations from property team members, a dunk tank charity event and an auction of charity guitars.

Additionally, 50 percent of the entry fee for the slot tournament was donated to the charity.

A red carpet ceremony featuring local community members preceded a concert in Hard Rock Cafe Tampa by local musician Natalie Claro.

The $47,243 donation exceeded the $12,148 the property raised last year for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. It’s also the highest donation so far this year by Seminole Hard Rock Tampa to local Tampa Bay non-profits.

This was the 16th year of Hard Rock International’s support of PINKTOBER® and the eighth year of Seminole Hard Rock Tampa’s involvement.
